Saint Petersburg, Florida

Population: 248,232

With over 300 days of sunshine a year and an incredibly temperate climate, Saint Petersburg is aptly called "The Sunshine City." Offering excellent access to the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay, hundreds of miles of shoreline circle the city including Fort De Soto Park, consistently ranked as one of the nation's top beaches. Saint Petersburg's pier features a five-story inverted pyramid and extends a mile and a half into the bay. The multi-use complex houses The Pier Aquarium, an observation deck, retail stores and several restaurants. In addition to its waterfront attractions, the city is also home to the St. Petersburg College, more than two dozen art galleries and Tropicana Field, the MLB's Devil Rays' stadium.
